It appears that the Great Storage Blog Experiment has been a success. Besides the IT metrics that show the volume of users on the site, I also see about 100 spams a day from kind folks recommending hair-loss products, stock tips, and herbal enhancement medicines for the bedroom. And all the thoughtful words of encouragement have made me quite verklempt:

“So interesting site, thanks!”
“Best site I see. Thanks.”
“beautiful online information center. greatest work… thanks ”
“Very needed information found here, thank you for your work”
“Your site is very cognitive. I think you will have good future.:)”
“Thank GOD, You found out something, that this world realy need.”
“I just don’t have anything to say right now.”

[Sniffle.]

And I also know the site is a success from the number of product-specific inquires we’re getting through the “Ask the Storage Advisors” link. We try not to answer those, but frankly I’m beginning to feel quite rude at having to ignore so many.

So this is just a quick note to say, yes, we are getting your messages. And, yes, we are ignoring you. (Sorry about that.)

I want to fix this by getting with our Tech Support group and figuring out how to forward your questions to them. One of the hurdles is that we don’t get your e-mail address when questions are posted. I suppose I could just drive around town looking for unencrypted tapes that have fallen off trucks, and then I’d be able to contact you directly, withdraw money from your savings account, and learn what horrible STDs you contracted from your stepmom, but, alas, that still won’t help me figure out who sent which question.

But we’ll get this straightened out, and I’ll get back to you.
